Coordinator Special Svcs - Transportation - ( 260000PM ) Description Job Overview Under the general direction of the Assistant Director, Transportation — Student Safety & Support, the Special Services Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and execution of specialized transportation services. This includes routing and services for students receiving Special Education, Section 504 accommodations, and McKinney‑Vento services. The coordinator ensures the safe, efficient, and compliant transportation of students with unique needs by developing routes, maintaining required documentation, and collaborating with district departments, campuses, and families. Position Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Program Coordination & Compliance Leadership: - Serve as the district coordinator for Special Education, Section 504, and McKinney‑Vento transportation services. - Review ARD/IEP documents, Section 504 plans, and McKinney‑Vento determinations to ensure transportation services are implemented accurately. - Ensure compliance with IDEA, Section 504, McKinney‑Vento, and Texas Education Agency (TEA) transportation guidelines. - Monitor specialized transportation service d...
