Cafeteria Supervisor

Job description

Overview To supervise all activities and employees of the cafeteria and ensure all MDI customer service standards, sales plans, and departmental operations are maintained in and for the cafeteria. To engage in preparation, serving, clean-up,ordering, supervising and other necessary tasks for the operation of the MDI Cafeteria. Must be able to work anytime, nights, weekends a must. Responsibilities: - Ensures all customers receive polite and friendly service from the cafeteria staff. - Works with HR Mgr to achieve budgeted sales and gross profits for the cafeteria. - Maintains controlled level of inventory and supplies for the cafeteria and ensures product quality. - Manages the cafeteria according to guidelines and programs set by the HR department. - Must be able to work a flexible rotating schedule (1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts) as well as fill in on weekends when necessary. - Enforces MDI safety and sanitation standards in the cafeteria. - Provides guidance, orientation, training, and feedback to all cafeteria employees to ensure achievement of performance standards.
