JOB SUMMARY: A PCB Test & Repair Technician at Doble Engineering will be responsible for repairing and modifying printed circuit boards (PCBs) by precisely soldering, desoldering, and replacing components, including fine-pitch, surface mount (SMT) and through hole parts. This role will be based at our Marlborough MA office reporting to Senior Manager of Operations. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Soldering/Desoldering- Acuurately rework PCB’s by soldering and desoldering various components, including fine-pitch, SMT and through hole components often under a microscope - Component rework- Remove and replace defective components on PCB - Inspection/Testing – conduct visual inspection and perform continuity check on work to ensure proper functionality and adherence to quality specification - Equipment Operation – Set up and operate specialized equipment, such as soldering stations and microscopes for assembly rework and inspections - Documentation and collaboration – maintain records of repairs, troubleshoot issues and communicate findings and potential improvements to engineering and quality teams - Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, blueprints and other engineering doc...
