Department Overview The EEG Technologist performs routine and advanced electroencephalography (EEG) procedures in inpatient and outpatient settings. This role is responsible for high quality data acquisition, patient safety, and accurate documentation to support clinical interpretation. The technologist works under indirect supervision and collaborates with physicians, senior technologists, and the broader care team. The EEG Technologist prepares patients and conducts routine and advanced outpatient, inpatient, and extra operative END procedures; collects data pertinent to the interpretation of test results and assists medical staff with complex recordings. Function/Duties of Position: EEG Technologist: - Prepare patients and obtain comprehensive clinical histories. - Accurately measure and apply EEG electrodes following established standards (<5 kΩ). - Perform routine, long‑term, and advanced EEG studies according to departmental protocols. - Recognize, troubleshoot, and reduce artifacts to ensure optimal recording quality. - Document patient behavior, clinical events, and relevant observations. - Maintain equipment cleanliness, report malfunctions, and follow safety and infection...
