POSITION TITLE: Instructional Aide DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Harmony Early Childhood Center HOURS OF WORK: 7 Hrs. Daily/Number of work-days dependent upon yearly calendars STATUS: Classified – Non-Exempt, Full Time HOURLY: $14.00: POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing additional educational support for K-6 students. The instructional aide may be assigned to student supervision duties including but not limited to lunchroom supervision and added support for certified staff members during recess duty. Additionally, instructional aides may be required to assist in supporting the building office as needed. This position reports to the building administrator. PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: - Assess student math and reading aptitude to support student progress and learning needs. - Collaborates with classroom teachers to meet instructional needs. - Coordinates with building principal to determine which students should be in small groups. - Gathers lesson materials and instructs students with support from classroom teachers. - Meets with students in small groups for the purpose of working on specific areas of need. - May be assigned to lunchroom supervision, added suppo...
