Sonographer PRN - ( 25000BPT ) Description A Brief Overview A Sonographer (Ultrasound Tech) is a diagnostic medical professional whom provides diagnostic medical ultrasound exams consistent with their education and training, and in accordance with facility policies and procedures and applicable professional standards. The Sonographer is responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment, maintaining patient workflow, technical aspects of equipment maintenance, and quality assessment (QA). The Sonographer maintains a high standard of medical ethics at all times and is self motivated to increase their level of understanding and knowledge of the field, pathologically process and advancements in ultrasound technology. What You Will Do: - Validate patient order and review relevant prior imaging - Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct ultrasound exams in accordance with infectious disease, sterilization, patient safety protocols, policies, and procedures - Consistently follow hospital policy to correctly identify patients and communicate and explain exam in a manner appropriate to the patient's ability to understand - Perform ultrasound examination in acco...
