Lead Mechanical Engineer

Job description

Position Overview: As a Senior Mechanical Engineer in an additive manufacturing company, you'll lead the development, and improvement of additive manufacturing processes and products, leveraging your expertise in mechanical engineering, materials science, and 3D printing technologies. You will research, develop, design, test, evaluate, and document mechanical components, subassemblies, equipment, and systems, applying principles and techniques of mechanical engineering. This position is responsible to work independently and as a member of a team supporting the development of capital equipment. Essential Functions: - Research, develop, and design mechanical and electromechanical and/or pneumatic prototypes, systems and subsystems for capital equipment (involving stepper or servo motors, pneumatic pumps, valves, etc…) - Perform GD&T analysis of designs at the system and subsystem level - Conduct system level integration and validation of designs (testing and troubleshooting) - Plan and perform tests to analyze the feasibility, design, operation and performance of equipment, components and systems - Continuous improvement related to enhancing system performance, reliability and manufa...
