About the Department of Counseling and Family Therapy The Department of Counseling and Family Therapy prepares students to succeed in today's behavioral healthcare environment through evidence-informed, rigorous clinical education. Students build an excellent foundation on which to build their future careers in human development-counseling, addiction counseling, and couple and family therapy. Our internationally recognized faculty have expertise in areas such as attachment-based therapies, evidence-informed therapies, individual and community-based traumas, interdisciplinary healthcare collaboration, LGBTQ, medical family therapy, sex therapy, supervision, substance abuse, and suicide. Adjunct instructor applications are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed by the Interim Department Chair, as well as respective Program Directors when openings become available.
