Planner / Scheduler (Manufacturing)

Job description

Purpose: The Material Planner (Scheduler) is responsible for ensuring the timely availability of materials and production schedules to support manufacturing and customer demand. This role works collaboratively with production, purchasing, engineering, quality, and logistics teams to balance supply, capacity, and inventory while supporting company goals for safety, quality, delivery, and cost. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, analytical, and thrives in a team‑based, fast‑paced environment. Essential Functions: - Review and analyze MRP data on a daily basis, making timely adjustments to delivery schedules to align with production demands. - Manage inventory levels of purchased components to meet plant performance targets while minimizing excess and shortages. - Communicate effectively, clearly, and consistently with all functional areas of the plant and customer service to ensure alignment and issue resolution. - Monitor and implement Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), reducing the risk of excess inventory and material obsolescence. - Utilize supply chain principles and tools such as Kanban, Just‑In‑Time (JIT), lot sizing, and material flow - Works effectively in a collaborati...
