Automation & Controls Lead Location: Monksland, Athlone: 37.5 per week (Mon–Fri, 09:00–17:00, flexible) Competitive salary and benefits: Opening date: 14/04/2026: Closing date: midnight 20/04/2026: Based at the Alexion facility in Athlone, the Automation & Controls Lead will own the configuration, operation, maintenance, and administration of process and facility control systems and data historians across all Drug Product manufacturing systems in AAMF. Acting as a core member of the manufacturing systems team, this role leads all automation systems on site and reports to the Senior Manager, Manufacturing Systems. It is a hands-on technical position that solves complex problems through data analysis and scientific methods, with a strong focus on process capability and system reliability. The role works closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Utilities, Tech Services and Quality Assurance, while also driving AI and digitalisation initiatives that support the site’s Digital Transformation and Industry 4.0 strategy.
