CNC Machinist - Vertical Mill Operator

Job Description Summary The Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist - will work at the Erlanger, KY Service Center to service and manufacture large scale, power generation equipment along with their subassemblies by following blueprints and specific work instructions. Job Description: As the CNC Machinist you will: - Work in a shop environment safely with zero accidents and/or injuries - Set-up and operate various CNC Vertical Mills - Read CNC programs, familiar with G & M codes - Make minor edits to CNC programs - Read and interpret Engineered Blue Print dwgs - Understand and apply geometric tolerances - Set up and safely use various inspection tools and gages (i.e. inner diameter (I/D) & outer diameter (O/D) Mics, calipers, Pi-tape, bore gages, Tri-mics, thread gages, etc...) - Machine to required tolerances of .001” - .005” - Determine machining feeds and speeds and tool selections - Work effectively with team to ensure successful delivery to customer Additional Information: GE Vernova offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
