Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES: - Ensures proper safety policies and procedures are in place and followed, including monitoring MVR records for fleet drivers. - Perform MVR records search using the approved background program. - Ensures department compliance with safety and environmental regulations. - Monitors expenditures; prepares and maintains various records and files; prepares reports. - Maintain comprehensive understanding of all DOT/DMV regulations effecting JP Thomas and vehicle operations. - Review fuel and maintenance transactions to ensure compliance with company policy and identify emerging trends and corrective actions. - Conduct vehicle inspections alongside field managers. - Maintain primary responsibility for scheduling and final assessment of vehicle condition. - Process, monitor, and communicate as appropriate registration/ titling issues with fleet team members. - Identify deficiencies in tools and equipment. - Facilitate vehicle maintenance. - Handle internal vehicle transfers among employees. - Monitor and report on vehicles through the telematics system. - Administer and communicate data in the company vehicle database. - Monitor fuel consumption via the online portal syst...
