International Tax Accountant

Job description

JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company. Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services. Work with management and field resources to accurately maintain tax compliance function. Reviews federal, state, and local tax returns, prepares calculations for extensions and quarterly estimated tax payments. Prepares tax provision schedules by utilizing Tax provision software including reviewing, preparing, and consolidating provision schedules. Recommends tax strategies by researching international, federal, state, and local taxation issues. Maintains legislative materials by reviewing, interpreting, and implementing new or revised laws. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
