Field Inspector

Job description

We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Field Inspector to support active construction and infrastructure improvement projects across multiple NYCHA portfolios throughout New York City. This role involves oversight of installations related to CCTV systems , Layered Access Control (LAC) , exterior site lighting , and improvements to community centers and playgrounds . The ideal candidate will be responsible for on-site inspection, coordination with contractors and stakeholders, and regular reporting using NYCHA's Trimble system. The role requires frequent travel between sites and flexibility to respond to evolving project needs. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct field inspections and ensure contractor work aligns with approved drawings, specifications, and schedules. - Read, interpret, and verify contractor drawings and shop submittals. - Coordinate field activities across various trades and provide input on manpower allocation as needed. - Prepare and submit detailed daily reports and field notes using Trimble (NYCHA’s construction management software). - Conduct and participate in on-site meetings with stakeholders, community representatives, and NYCHA project teams. -...
