Motor Engineer Location: Peterborough: Department: Engineering, Sopp+Sopp: Contract Type: Permanent: Hours: 37.5 hours per week: About the role: We’re looking for a Motor Engineer to join our Engineering Team. You will be responsible for engineering estimates in a timely manner specific to the requirements of the client, to check and confirm the cost we are authorising is fair, reasonable and related to the incident in question. Key responsibilities: - Check incident circumstances against work estimated for to see if the damage could be related to the incident. - Check estimated costs are fair and reasonable. - Check estimates are within customer specific rates if a network repairer has been allocated. - Amend estimates to correct customer specific rates if a network repairer has been allocated. - Negotiate with non-network repairers in order to bring inflated costs down. - Authorise incident related work to repairers. - Correctly value vehicles for...
