Overview: Tuesday-Saturday 7:30am to 4pm Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance is required by hospital policy. Must pass a motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and must maintain qualification of insurance guidelines. Job Description Summary: The Mechanic maintains, repairs, and monitors equipment operation and utility services to the Hospital complex. Job Description: Essential Functions: - Inspects and diagnoses mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions in equipment. - Repairs and maintains equipment by replacing or repairing defective parts, adjusting functional parts, and lubricating equipment. - Tests equipment performance and ensures that it meets manufacturer specifications. - Records maintenance and repair work performed on equipment. - Operates equipment to detect equipment malfunctions and to verify that repairs have been completed satisfactorily. - Cleans and maintains work area and tools.
