Caregiver/Medication Manager Independence Village of Pella: Position Summary: As a Caregiver/Medication Manager you are responsible for providing caring and personal assistance for residents living in our community as well as passing their medication. This position will assist residents in all day-to-day functions. Required Experience for Universal Caregiver: - High School Diploma or GED preferred. - Ability to obtain Medication Manager certification on-site at community if not already certified. - Previous Healthcare, Geriatrics or experience working with the elderly population preferred. - Desire to work with geriatric population. - Training per state requirements - Must have current CPR and First Aid certification. Responsibilities for Universal Caregiver: - Bathe and clean, as needed, both male and female residents by bed bath, shower and/or whirlpool. - Follow medication administration protocols as identified for each individual resident. - Assist in grooming of both male and female residents (cleaning teeth, shampooing/combing hair, cleaning and cutting nails, applying make-up, shaving and cleaning glasses). - Make residents’ beds and change linens as needed, clean up room an...
