Company: Allegheny Health Network Job Description: GENERAL OVERVIEW: Performs all functions related to polysomnographic exams and multiple sleep latency testing to provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders; assists with clinical and administrative oversight of polysomnographic technicians. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs all polysomnograms and MSLTs according to clinical practice guidelines, as well as departmental policy and procedures. (50%) Provides patient education. (15%): Organizes and prioritizes workload and scheduling of patient testing in an efficient and effective manner. (10%) Oversees the proper calibration, quality control and analysis of all polysomnographic equipment. (10%) Mentors polysomnographic techs and provides educational oversight. (10%) Assists with billing documentation and maintains department records according to departmental policy/procedure. (5%) Performs other duties as assigned or required. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 4 years with sleep study testing Graduate of polysomnography course or completion of an approved sleep lab training program.
