Position Overview: - Department: Pharmacy - Schedule: PRN Rotating Days, evenings, nights (days 7a - 4p, evenings 3p - 8p, weekends primarily days) - Work Location: UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham - Benefits for eligible positions only include: generous paid time off, paid parental leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and more What You Will Do: Perform the duties of a staff pharmacist under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. - Under direct supervision, maintain proper narcotic documentation and ensure proper distribution of narcotic medications. - Under direct supervision, ensure appropriate selection of dosing, administering and monitoring of medication. - Dispense medications accurately for delivery to patient care areas. May compound medications. - Assist pharmacists with maintaining and monitoring patient profiles. Provide medication information and education to medical staff and patients. What You Will Need: Education: - Currently registered or eligible to be registered as a pharmacy technician or pharmacy intern/extern by the Alabama Board of Pharmacy (ALBOP) preferred. - High school diploma equivalency and enrolled in accredited prog...
