Operations Manager

Job description

This role is responsible for leading and overseeing the Smithfield operational site, ensuring efficient performance across production, warehousing and dispatch. You will drive operational excellence across output, delivery (DIFOT), cost, quality and safety, while building a strong, customer-focused team culture. What you will do: - Lead and manage production, warehouse and dispatch operations across multiple business units - Drive performance across DIFOT, cost control, quality and safety targets - Implement process improvements, scheduling and resource planning initiatives - Lead inventory optimisation and supply chain efficiency - Manage team performance, development and workforce planning - Partner with Sales and Customer Service to enhance customer experience - Drive continuous improvement initiatives and capital projects What we require: - 10+ years’ experience in manufacturing and/or supply chain environments - Proven leadership experience managing teams in operational settings - Strong experience driving KPIs such as DIFOT, safety, cost and quality - Experience in production planning, inventory and warehouse management - Ability to lead change, improve processes and influenc...
