Job Description: SUMMARY: Under limited supervision, plans, directs and manages the activities of the City’s Facilities Department. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include any of the following representative duties, knowledge, and skills. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: - Manages the work order system for technician scheduling. - Manages service contracts, including HVAC, janitorial and elevator. - Coordinates ancillary facility-related components. - Implements cost-effective solutions to facility-based operations. - Oversees and coordinates all facilities inspections. - Coordinates all repair activities with external vendors. - Assesses the City’s facilities for capital repairs and projects. - Prepares and administers the annual operating budget; monitors and approves expenditures. - Supervises staff; plans, prioritizes,...
