Barrick - Senior Projects Engineer, Closure Projects

Job description

JOB PURPOSE: This role is responsible for leading and executing priority reclamation and closure projects across legacy sites in the western United States. The position is structured to provide rotational, field-based execution support aligned with seasonal access constraints, capital schedules, and business priorities. The incumbent will be deployed based on project needs and will operate as Barrick’s owner’s representative during planning and execution phases. During non-field deployment periods, the incumbent will support the North America Closure group through technical review, desktop evaluations, consultant oversight, and development of studies, designs, and execution plans to advance closure strategies and capital readiness across legacy sites. The role is dynamic and requires a balanced approach between field-based execution and office-based project management, including direct oversight of consultants and contractors.
