Outreach Athletic Trainer- Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation - ( 26003074 ) Description The Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time athletic trainer to provide healthcare services in support of a local community school district outreach location. The position collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team and directly assists other medical providers in providing care for patients. The outreach athletic trainer provides direct patient contact primarily for the evaluation and treatment of medical and orthopedic pathology. General roles include the prevention, diagnosis, and interventions to treat emergency, acute, and chronic medical conditions involving impairment, functional limitations, and disabilities. Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to: · Evaluation and management of musculoskeletal injuries, concussion, and other injury/illness common to the physically active population. · Provide practice/competition surveillance, injury recognition and evaluation, initial first aid treatment, injury management and patient education, preventive taping, and padding. · Provide referral for medical care as deemed necessary, establish tre...
