RCIS (a division of Zurich North America) is currently hiring a Data Scientist Analyst OR Sr Data Scientist Analyst, and this person will report to the Head of Underwriting, Crop Analytics. This role will work in a hybrid schedule. This role will be filled at either the Data Scientist Analyst OR Sr Data Scientist Analyst level. The hiring manager will determine the appropriate level based upon the selected applicant’s experience and skill set relative to the qualifications listed for this position. Some of the key accountabilities of this role include: - Building and/or enhancing models for crop insurance business - Use internal and external data sources such as RMA, NOAA or external third parties - Crop products will need more modeling and analysis with respect to RMA pricing and yield expectations. - Refreshing profitability models at the county and crop level to determine our strategic appetite - Document, run and review premium estimate models - Assisting in maintaining and enhancing fund designation models - Scenario modeling on various RMA products to determine impact on profitability, - Project work – looking at historical data and state mix, county plan level, and industry...
