Description Summary: The Network Engineer 2's primary duties include initial implementation of technical designs. Primary duties include overseeing daily data center operations, leading teams of SmartHands technicians while ensuring consistent execution of standards, procedures, and best practices. The role includes supervising facility operations such as power, cooling, cabling, and Colo assigned SmartHands services. Ensures rapid incident response, drives up time and SLA compliance, and leads change control, root cause analysis, and long-term corrective actions. Handle capacity planning by forecasting space, power, cooling, storage/network infrastructure. Collaborating with facilities and engineering to support expansions or infrastructure upgrades. Acting as a senior customer liaison, manage escalations, project work, and communication. Additionally, oversee physical security, compliance with audit frameworks, and adherence to access control protocols. Budget oversight, vendor coordination, inventory management, and procurement are also key responsibilities, along with continuous process improvement, adoption of monitoring and DCIM tools (Nlyte a plus).
