We are the world’s largest producer of sustainable wood pellets, which provide a low-carbon alternative to fossil fuels. Enviva is seeking a Crane Operator who will be responsible for unloading logs from log delivery trucks, storing logs in a stack under the portal cane and feeding logs to the log processing line. Responsibilities: - Load and unload bundles from trucks using portal crane. - Inspect and adjust crane mechanisms and lifting accessories to prevent malfunctions and damage. - Move levers (with both hands), depress foot petals (with both feet) and turn dials to operate crane, or other moving equipment for lifting, moving and placing loads. - Monitor logs being fed into the debarker drum and notify chipper operator of any problems (i.e. hung up logs, jams, etc.). - Escalate visual issues and remove eject in-feed logs for embedded rocks or other saw damaging debris. - Lubricate crane parts in adherence with manufacturer and company recommendations. - Maintain contact with A...
