Collections Officer

Job description

This role is the frontend customer & brokers liaison for commercial & consumer collection matters. The primary purpose of this role is to manage the collection of debtors, ensuring a proactive and timely collection of outstanding amounts. You’ll be responsible for day-to-day collections to reduce delinquency through effective communication, negotiation skills and decision-making. Roles and responsibilities: Managing Delinquent accounts: - Managing a large number of outbound or inbound calls efficiently and effectively. - Build and establish relationships with customers and brokers with rapport and trust - Speaking to early-stage customers for collection purposes and negotiate payment of outstanding debt. - Send appropriate Emails and SMS to customers. - Managing customer and Broker enquires via email and delivering exceptional service - Detailed and accurate file action notes for all customer interactions and adding Checklist where required. - Moving each account through a workflow to ensure high-quality and consistent actions are taken - Bringing priority matters to the attention of the Team Leader for action/advice as appropriate Ledger Management: - Managing your portfolio effec...
