Employment Type: Part time Shift: Rotating Shift Description: Provides technical support in the delivery of pharmaceutical care to clients of MercyOne Outpatient Pharmacies, including processing prescriptions, preparation and delivery of medications, review of charts for specific information/audits, stocking and ordering of drugs and other products. Assists patients and clients in ordering and picking up their prescription orders. Performs technical work and tasks allowable by Iowa law for a Pharmacy Intern under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Essential Key Job Responsibilities: Prepares patient drug orders. Accepts, checks in, and prepares drug orders from wholesalers Reviews will-call prescriptions for duplicate bags for the same patient and for return-to-stock dates. Credits to the patient and restock usable medications returned to the pharmacy. Files medication orders. Assists the pharmacists with audits. Completes assigned unit inspections . Restocks automated medication dispensing machines (Pyxis). Enters fill stock requisitions for other departments.
