SUE Crew Chief Department: Survey/Geomatics: Employment Type: Full Time: Location: Jacksonville, FL: Reporting To: Albert Taylor: Description: If you are an experienced SUE Crew Chief who has desire to have your ideas heard and accomplishments acknowledged, we'd love to hear from you. As the SUE Crew Chief, you will be responsible for leading the field effort for various Underground Utility designating & locating projects. Your Primary Responsibilities will include: - Locate underground utilities using non-destructive methods, including electromagnetic induction (EMI) and ground penetrating radar (GPR). - Operate vacuum excavation trucks and related equipment (e.g., air compressors, vacuum hoses, air lances, jackhammers, concrete saws, pogo-tampers, hand tools). - Perform utility mark-outs, surveying tasks, and subsurface utility engineering (SUE) field activities with minimal supervision. - Document field data accurately through sketches, photos, spreadsheets, daily reports, and written summaries. - Read and interpret technical documents. - Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on vacuum excavation systems and field equipment. - Train on safe operation and maintena...
