Location: Swedesboro,New Jersey,United States JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for correctly packaging avocados according to the appropriate quantity and bag requirements. Providing assistance in repacking tasks as necessary. Ensuring that avocado quantity aligns with the standards set by Mission Produce. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - § Understand the differences in avocados including but not limited to size, label, color, ripeness and overall quality. - § Understand the various customers and the specifications in quality that each customer requires. - § Understand the various proper packing procedures including but not limited to box types and bag configurations. - § Determine fruit and bag quality and sort according to company and customer quality standards. - § Utilize any supporting packing materials for all product types. - § Ensure working area is always clean and ready according to company standards. - § Undergo safety and job training pertinent to your job. - § Complete other duties as directed by supervisors or leads.
