FirstEnergy About the Opportunity: Directs a variety of tasks and personnel in the operation and service of equipment, systems and processes in the safe and environmentally responsible production of electricity. This includes the direction of unit operations, safety programs, environmental compliance, efficient use of resources, prudent labor relation actions and awareness of operational trends across the fleet. Qualifications: - Serves as the primary contact point for and takes responsibility for safe and environmentally compliant plant operations as directed. - Participates actively in assuring a safe work environment for all persons working in or visiting the plant. Directly interjects to promote safety and human performance engagement. - Interacts and is able to clearly communicate with corporate groups, vendors, consultants and regulatory agencies in all facets of operational activities which may involve safety, environmental, labor and technical processes. - Provides oversight for the Safety Clearance program. - Monitor systems and equipment operations and make recommendations to ensure compliance with operational and environmental parameters and the safety of personnel. - Di...
