Summary: Applicant must possess a High School diploma or equivalent and a current California Certified Phlebotomy Technician Level I certificate (CPT1). Minimum one year of blood collection/phlebotomy experience in a hospital or CLIA waived laboratory setting, preferred. Minimum of 1 year experience in blood draw in adults, children and infants. Must have or willing to obtain current CPR certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross prior to orientation. Laboratory practice regulations, such as specimen handling and processing, record maintenance, proficiency testing, quality control procedures and documentation of all corrective actions. This position requires a flexible working schedule. The phlebotomist is responsible for obtaining specimen samples from infant, pediatric, and adult patients for laboratory testing.
