SUMMARY: The primary purpose of the Janitor is to maintain assigned cleaning areas in a safe, sanitary, orderly and customary manner according to AbilityOne project site contracts standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. ◦ Empties all trash barrels and replaces all soiled trash barrel liners in designated cleaning area. ◦ Returns all trash barrels to their original position. ◦ Removes full trash bag from rolling barrel and disposes of in an outside dumpster. ◦ Places new trash bag in rolling barrel. ◦ Prepares floor for vacuuming by removing large debris and disposing in trash barrel. ◦ Accurately vacuums all carpet in designated cleaning area. ◦ Cleans/checks and if necessary replac...
