Position Description The Distribution Markets and System Operation (DMSO) organisation is seeking an experienced and motivated NMS Senior Engineer to join the Operational Systems Support (OSS) team. OSS plays a critical role in supporting and maintaining the Operational Technology (OT) systems that underpin the safe, reliable and real‑time operation of Ireland’s electricity distribution network. These OT systems include SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), Network Management System (NMS) and Geographic Information System (GIS). The Network Management System (NMS) is one of the core real‑time OT systems, comprising of Outage Management System (OMS) and Distribution Management System (DMS). The DMS includes key applications such as: These systems support day‑to‑day network operations and enable ESB Networks to integrate increasing levels of renewables, improve outage response and deliver enhanced grid intelligence. The NMS Senior Engineer will be part of a high‑performing technical team responsible for supporting, maintaining and enhancing the NMS.
