We are currently seeking a qualified individual for the following opportunity in our Toronto office: CLAIMS EXAMINER / COUNSEL, PROPERTY & CASUALTY TORONTO: The Claims Examiner/Counsel, reporting directly to the Vice President, Claims Specialty Insurance, will be responsible for management of property and casualty claims. Responsibilities include: - Coverage evaluation. - Drafting coverage letters and other documents. - Setting claim reserves. - Communicating with insureds, counsel, third party adjusters, brokers, and claimants. - Managing litigation and negotiating settlements. - Authorizing payments as required. - Acting as a resource for various business units.
