Job Title: ASSISTANT MILL CHEMICAL ENGINEER Division: MILL DIVISION: Reports To: MILL CHEMICAL ENGINEER: FLSA Status: NON-EXEMPT: SUMMARY -: Pratt Paper (LA), LLC has a need for an Assistant Mill Chemical Engineer at its Shreveport, Louisiana location. SCOPE-: The Assistant Mill Chemical Engineer works alongside the Mill Chemical Engineer and production team in order to maximize safety, quality and production. The Assistant Mill Chemical Engineer will help oversee the management of all chemical systems. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned) - The Assistant Mill Chemical Engineer’s primary responsibilities as part of the startup team include, but are not limited to: - Planning, designing, and ordering the proper chemical and starch delivery systems - Ensuring the proper installation of the above chemical and starch delivery systems - Commissioning the above systems - Participating in all chemical supplier negotiations, including the final determination of programs and suppliers - Maintaining safety standards in the chemical areas - Maintaining chemical inventories - Maintaining chemical delivery systems - Determining, reporting and optimizing chemical...
