This Opportunity WSP is currently initiating a search for a Resident Engineer for our Connecticut office, with an interest in highway bridge and rail engineering construction. Be involved in projects with our Construction Management Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. - Managing the construction management team. Responsible for record keeping, correspondence, compiling and delivering of required reports. Chair various project meetings, record and distribute meeting minutes. - Monitoring contractor performance, scheduling, effectiveness, and quality control. - Issue Non-compliance notices and follow through to resolution. - Review and approve daily inspection reports and payment quantities in accordance with project standard specifications and requirements. - Prepare change orders for overruns, changed conditions and additional work. - Log and coordinate with the designer to respond to contractors’ submittals, RFI's and shop drawings. - Work to create a safety culture. - Experience in permit compliance and coordination with adjacent projects. - Work with client to inform the public about upcoming work and poten...
