Department: Parks Pay: $16.23 per hour: Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm with rotating weekends. Maintain the grounds and buildings of the Sedgwick County Parks Department keeping them clean and safe for park users and staff. Will work weekends and holidays (Memorial Day, July 4th, & Labor Day). This position will be assigned to either Lake Afton Park or Sedgwick County Park. Grounds Maintenance: - Participate in groundskeeping duties including mowing & trimming, string trimmer use, herbicide application, and watering. - Use proper PPE and procedures when trimming trees, using chemicals, and operating machinery, including mowers, trimmers, and power tools. - Inspect playgrounds, picnic tables, docks, and other structures open to the public to ensure public safety. - Safely operate Parks vehicles and equipment as required to complete job duties.
