Job Summary The Nuclear Medicine Technician performs the full spectrum of Nuclear Medicine exams, PET/CT exams and other associated imaging procedures. Reports to: Job Specific Responsibilities Daily assignments may include but are not limited to: - Participates in day-to-day operations of Imaging department, including quality control and patient exam acquisition - Properly prepare and administer Nuclear Medicine procedures and radiopharmaceuticals using prescribed standards for radiation safety - Start IV’s or acquire venous access as needed - Perform area surveys, wipe test, and all other prescribed radiation monitoring procedures - Process mages, Maintain proper paperwork and documentation for all tests; Correctly charge exams according to proper CPT definition upon completion of exams - Schedule outpatient exams, ensuring all necessary information is available, including ordering physician, diagnosis, insurance information, and pre certification information/authorizations - Transport patients and supplies to and from the exam tabl...
