Generation Security Officer II Protects Company property against illegal entry, vandalism, theft, and fire. Maintain order and safeguard employees, customers, and company property; provide physical security and access control for the Corporate Headquarters, Generation facilities, General Services Complex, and other facilities, as required. Uniformed, armed security officer responsible for providing security for personnel and property. JOB SUMMARY: - Controls access to plant sites - Monitors and operates electronic surveillance equipment - Monitors materials and equipment delivered to and removed from plant site - Provides armed security service to plant site - Patrols plant site on foot and in vehicle - Participation in Emergency Response Teams preferred, but not mandatory - Attend plant functions and make presentations as needed Experience: Alabama Power provides safe, reliable, and affordable electricity to 1.5 million customers across the lower two-thirds of Alabama.
