Position Title Public Safety Officer (Safety/Security Officer III) Job Description Summary: - $31.00 per hour base rate in addition to shift and/or weekend differentials• Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical ability test• Must complete a pre-employment skills assessment• Must be able to work a 12 hour shift with rotating days off (days or nights) Job Description: Purpose & Scope: Public Safety Officer (Safety/Security Officer III) proactively patrols VHC Health facilities and property to maintain order, protect personnel, and prevent fire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry, etc. Enforces VHC Health policies and provides assistance to patients, visitors, and employees. Responds to other Security requirements of the VHC campus. Responds to complaints of wrongdoing and prepares incident reports / activity logs. Responds to emergency alerts and situations on campus. Public Safety Officer (Safety/Security Officer III) will be required to successfully complete advanced first aid training, which will include, but is not limited to, Basic Life Support (BLS) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
