Active certification status for five (5) years from its completion date. Employed as a Law Enforcement Telecommunicator/ Dispatcher through the Kentucky Law. Demonstrate minimum requirements as Dispatcher II. Keyboard skills essential. Successful completion of suitability screening, drug screening, polygraph tests and a comprehensive background check investigation are required. Grade 5 (Hourly) Position Description: The Dispatcher III is responsible for answering calls for police, fire, emergency medical services maintenance and escort services; monitoring fire, intrusion, emergency and maintenance alarms; and dispatching and coordinating police, fire, EMS and security officer units in both emergency and non-emergency situations.
