Job Description Summary As a Turbine Generator Service Technician (Winder) you will perform operations involving the inspection, disassembly, assembly, repair, refurbishment, and maintenance of all mechanical and electrical components in Turbine Generators with emphasis on the Generator Rotating Field. Job Description: This is a 4-week rotating shift position. Essential Responsibilities: Qualifications/Requirements: - Perform mechanical disassembly, refurbish & reassembly of generator rotors in high quality and timely fashion using induction heating machines, large propane torches, overhead cranes and various hand and power tools (i.e., removal and installation of coupling, fans, retaining rings, blower hubs, wedges, blocking, copper coils) - Perform work according to technical drawings, work procedures and work orders with minimal supervision - Braze copper winding connectors either by propane torches, carbon resistance or induction heaters. - Perform and assist with all generator electrical diagnostic tests according to testing procedures. - Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues - Participate in continuous improvement projects and lean action work outs. - High School Dipl...
