Job Title: Community Liaison Officer Salary: £39,027 – £44,463 per annum (pro rata if part-time) Grade: E Contract Type: Fixed Term – 2 years Working Hours: 37 hours per week The Community Liaison Officer is part of the Council’s Community Development Team, which sits within the Communications and Engagement Service and works to support residents, strengthen local networks and enable community‑led change. The team focuses on working directly with communities to understand local priorities, reduce barriers and help residents play an active role in shaping their neighbourhoods. Working across the council and in partnership with residents, elected members, and the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector, the Community Liaison Officer plays a key role in connecting communities with the right information, services and support. The role supports the delivery of neighbourhood‑based and community‑led initiatives by helping residents navigate council processes, encouraging collaboration, and supporting groups to turn local ideas into practical action.
