Job description
The OR Certified Surgical Technologist is a critical member of the Operating Room Team who performs a variety of technical skills in support of the surgeon during cases. The Surgical technologist is an autonomous skilled individual who is competent in a variety of specialties and scrubs in surgical/diagnostic procedure(s) under the direction of a registered professional nurse. Qualifications: - Education Required: High School graduate. Graduate of Operating Room: Technician Program or its equivalent. Certification as Surgical Technician . License(s) Required: BCLS: One (1) year experience as Operating Room Technician or demonstrated ability to perform operative case scrub experience . Must demonstrate understanding of sterility and a knowledge of medical terminology. - Experience/Skills
