POSITION SUMMARY: The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the mechanical architecture, design and integration of products, tools, testers and components. This position uses experience and knowledge to design mechanical and electromechanical products and systems by developing and testing specifications and methods. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Evaluates mechanical and electromechanical systems and products by designing and conducting research programs; applying specific, relevant engineering principles. - Confirms system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods; testing properties and developing testing processes. - Develops mechanical and electromechanical products, such as machined parts, sheet metal parts and plastic parts, including injection molded parts, by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; soliciting observations from operators. - Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components. - Manages the build of designs, prototypes and design of experiments. - Assures system and product quality by design...
