Job description

Responsible for providing quality patient care following established standards and practices under the supervision of a licensed physician. Assists physician and staff with the daily coordination of patient care and patient access. Coordinates patient flow, schedules appointments, procedures, tests and referrals. Education: - Assists physician in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient needs during examinations, treatments and emergency situations. Assists physician with diagnostic/therapeutic procedures, assuring procedures are provided in a safe, clean, competent manner/environment. Maintains a clean, safe, well-stocked patient care area, including patient examination rooms. Administers oral, rectal, subcutaneous, and intra muscular medications and/or injections. Maintains a complete, accurate, legible medical record reflecting the patient's condition, medication, treatment and any other pertinent information relevant to total patient care according to professional standards and procedures.
