Description PURPOSE OF POSITION: This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Pool Coordinator is responsible for providing support/aide in the supervision of a group of children in a seasonal day camp aquatic setting. Provides a quality experience to children and parents focused on YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Aides in supervision of a group of children in a summer day camp aquatic environment. - Tracks and records all conducted swim tests and maintains weekly records - Greet summer camp busses and assist with loading/unloading campers, lifejackets, wristbands - Provide additional supervision from the pool deck - Implements program activities that are culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate and consistent with YMCA values. - Adheres to program standards including safety and cleanliness standards. - Attends staff meetings and training. - Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention, risk management and emergencie...
