Physician II-Per Diem 260002IJ Description The Massachusetts Veterans Home (MVH) at Holyoke is actively seeking a per-diem Physician (Physician II) to join their team! In this role as a per diem Physician, you will provide general medical care to the veteran residents of MVH at Holyoke who are housed in our Long-Term Care Facility. This position works under the general supervision of the Medical Director, who assigns works, reviews performance and reports compliance with professional standards. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive): Order pharmaceuticals, equipment and medical supplies. REQUIREMENTS: Licensed to practice in Massachusetts with the Board of Registration in Medicine. Appropriate Massachusetts and DEA controlled substance registrations. - Provides responsible medical care in accordance with regulatory standards and guidelines. - Provides appropriate history, examination, diagnostic formulation, and treatment, which may entail reviewing records, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, as well as judiciously prescribing medication. - Provides comprehensive, responsible and timely medical care to all residents, document...
