Job Summary: The Trauma Registry Analyst supports the Prisma Health Trauma Program and organizational requirements for verification/designation as a Trauma Center by the State Department of Public Health and American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma (ACSCOT). The Trauma Registry Analyst is responsible for all aspects of the Trauma Registry Data including abstraction, entry, and coding. The Analyst applies comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology to identify and collect complex data on the diagnoses, treatment and quality metrics related to trauma patients receiving care at a Prisma Health Trauma Center. Requires knowledge of State and National Trauma Standards (NTDS) and applies this knowledge in patient identification, data abstraction, co-morbiity and complication recognition to the trauma registry. Performs ICD-10 coding and AIS (Abbreviated Injury Scale) coding of all diagnoses and procedures of trauma patients.
